01 / What Framefold is

From first idea to ready-to-shoot.

Framefold turns creative direction into a visual, reviewable production plan your collaborators can understand and approve.

Ripple Edit shows exactly what a proposed change will affect. It traces a proposal through the current project before anything is committed: the shots, rights, readiness checks, and exports it actually touches.

  • Choose the primary release channel and delivery frame

04 / Evidence travels with the work

A handoff tied to what was approved.

Every server export identifies the exact project version and checksum behind it. Review, rights, readiness, and provenance stay legible when the work leaves Framefold.

01 / Record

Immutable version history

Return to an earlier project state without rewriting its history. Each committed revision retains its own identity, author, reason, time, and checksum.

02 / Review

Version-bound decisions

Invite a guest to comment on one exact revision and capture version-bound guest comments and immutable approval receipts.

03 / Handoff

Deterministic production files

Export the storyboard PDF, project snapshot, shot list CSV, rights ledger CSV, readiness Markdown, and production ZIP for the exact revision under review.

05 / Versioned pre-production control / AI optional

Protect the decisions production depends on.

Use Framefold after creative direction is approved and before production handoff starts to drift. Begin with the complete Last Train sample or open a blank project.

Plan and fair-use limits

The launch plan supports up to 200 synced projects, 500 immutable versions per project, 5,000 versions and 48 MiB of stored project-history text per account. Each project supports one private PNG, JPEG, or WebP image for each of up to 12 authored, image-backed storyboard scenes, up to 8 MiB per upload. Retained frame-image history is capped at 64 images and 128 MiB per project, and 512 MiB per account. Review records are capped at up to 50 active guest links and 500 retained invitations per project; 500 active links and 5,000 retained invitations per account; 500 guest sessions per project and 5,000 per account; 500 comments and 500 decisions per guest session; 5,000 comments and 5,000 decisions per project; 25,000 comments and 25,000 decisions per account; and 16 MiB of review text per account. Framefold refuses a new record at a limit and never silently prunes history. When a subscription ends, studio access ends; account-level data export and deletion remain available.

How optional AI works

You approve every change, review, and export. Optional AI runs only when invited, and nothing publishes automatically. Framefold sends relevant project text to OpenAI only after you request a development or critique pass. API storage is disabled; OpenAI says API data is not used for training by default, while abuse-monitoring records may be retained for up to 30 days.

Every core studio tool works without AI and does not consume included units. AI runs only when invited. No content is posted automatically. Stripe shows the exact price and renewal terms before payment. Cancel any time from your account.
06 / One controlled creative thread

Direct. Trace. Approve. Handoff.

01 / Direct

Commit the direction

Shape the premise, treatment, sequence, and production choices, then save them as a private project revision.

02 / Trace

Preview the ripple

Propose a consequential change, inspect the exact downstream path, and apply only the operation you select.

03 / Approve

Review one version

Share a version-bound guest link, collect anchored comments, resolve readiness and rights, and record approval.

04 / Handoff

Export the record

Carry the exact approved revision forward in deterministic production files with its checksum and provenance.

Make the film clearer before production makes it expensive.

Keep every approved decision connected from direction through production handoff.
